Bay Contracting designed, manufactured and installed new GFRC cornices on this Commonwealth Ave building in Boston.
GFRC is lighter in weight, superior in strength and much easier to install than the traditional precast concrete castings. In addition, GFRC can be easily formed to include more complex shapes and details. The addition of glass fibers broadcast throughout the mix adds to the overall compressive, tensile and flexural strengths and increases wind loading capabilities.
We’re experienced in the installation of individual GFRC elements and complete building facades for any size project and offer design and engineering services to assist GCs and owners in meeting their design intents.
